In short: TV Shows is one of six countdown packs in Kounts. Open Discover on your iPhone or iPad, search for a show and follow it. You get a countdown to its next episode that looks after itself: it moves on as episodes air, follows a date that shifts, waits between seasons and is removed when the show ends. Searching is free. Following is $1.99 once, $3.99 for all six packs, or included in Kounts Premium.

What you get for each show
One search, one tap, and the show becomes an episode countdown that sits with the rest of your events.
Any show you can search for
The pack looks shows up on TheTVDB as you search, with names in your language when TheTVDB has one. Follow up to 25 shows at a time.
The next episode, not a special
The countdown always points at the next episode. Specials are skipped, so a one-off special never takes the place of the episode you're waiting for.
Season and episode in the notes
The notes read like “Season 2, Episode 10 · The Long Tide”, so you can see which episode you're counting to without opening anything.
The show's poster behind it
Each countdown uses the show's poster as its background. Prefer your own photo or one of the gradients? Change it, and your choice stays after every refresh.
Between episodes, between seasons, after the finale
A show's schedule keeps changing, and the countdown keeps up. Kounts checks your shows again when you open the app, at most every 12 hours.
-
An episode airs
The countdown moves on to the next episode, and the notes move with it.
Season 2, Episode 9Season 2, Episode 10 · The Long Tide
-
An air date moves
If an episode's date changes, the countdown moves with it. There is nothing for you to fix, and your own edits to the event stay put.
-
Nothing announced yet
Between seasons, the show waits without a countdown instead of counting to a guess. Once the next episode has a date, the countdown comes back.
No new episode announced yet
-
The show ends
Its countdown is removed, and Kounts tells you so you're not left wondering.
Night Harbor has ended
Not sure what to follow? Start with the top ten
The pack opens on Most anticipated: the ten shows most people are waiting for, each with a firm date and an Add button. One tap puts it in your list. A show without a date doesn't make the list, so every title on it is a countdown you can start right away.
- Night HarborAdd
- Marrow StreetAdd
- The Lanterns of VellAdd
And seven more. Illustrative titles.
A countdown like the rest, that keeps itself right
The date is the pack's
The date stays locked, because the pack is what keeps it right. The title, the artwork, the photo, the reminders, the category and the notes are yours to change, and your edits survive every refresh. Delete the countdown and you unfollow the show.
All in Feeds
Everything a pack adds lands in the built-in Feeds category, so your shows never get mixed up with your own events, and one filter shows or hides all of them.
Outside the free 15
The free plan holds 15 upcoming countdowns of your own. Show countdowns don't count toward them, so following a few series never crowds out a birthday. What's free in Kounts.
A new-episode widget
Put the next episode on a Home Screen or Lock Screen widget, next to your own countdowns. It shows on the Timeline too.
On your wrist
Show countdowns appear on your Apple Watch like any other event. Add a reminder and it arrives as a notification.
Premiere night with friends
Watching together? Make an event of your own for the night and share it with up to five people. Sharing is part of Premium.
What it costs
No subscription needed. Look around first, then pay once.
Look through Most anticipated and search for any show before you pay anything.
Follow up to 25 shows for good. Or get all six packs for $3.99, including any added later.
$9.99 a year or $19.99 once, with unlimited countdowns of your own and the rest of Premium.
US prices; they vary by region. A pack you buy outright keeps working for good. A pack that came with Premium pauses without deleting anything if Premium ends, and resumes when it comes back.
iPhone and iPad only. You follow shows on iPhone and iPad; the Mac app has no Discover tab. Following is per device: a second iPhone or iPad follows the pack on its own, and your purchase carries over. No account needed: what you search and the shows you follow go to TheTVDB to fetch dates, with nothing that identifies you.

Put it where you'll see it
The countdown lands in your list under Feeds. Add a reminder or a widget, and let it move on to each new episode by itself.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get a countdown to the next episode of a show?
Open the Discover tab in Kounts on your iPhone or iPad, tap TV Shows and search for the show. Follow it and a countdown to its next episode lands in your list, with the season and episode in the notes and the show's poster behind it. Searching is free; following needs the TV Shows pack, the all-packs bundle or Kounts Premium.
What happens between seasons?
If a show has no new episode announced, it waits without a countdown and says “No new episode announced yet”. Once the next episode has a date, the countdown picks it up the next time Kounts checks, which happens when you open the app, at most every 12 hours.
Does it work for any show?
It works for shows you can find on TheTVDB, the TV database the pack searches, with names in your language when TheTVDB has one. You can follow up to 25 shows at a time. The countdown is always to the next episode; specials are skipped.
What happens when a show ends?
Its countdown is removed and Kounts tells you, with a line like “Night Harbor has ended”. There is nothing for you to clear out.
What if an episode's air date changes?
The countdown moves with it. Kounts checks your shows again when you open the app, at most every 12 hours, and picks up the new date. Your own title, artwork, reminders and notes stay as you set them.
How much does the TV Shows pack cost?
Browsing and searching are free. Following shows is a one-time $1.99 for the TV Shows pack, or $3.99 for all six packs, including any added later. Kounts Premium includes every pack. Prices vary by region. Show countdowns don't count toward the free plan's 15 upcoming events.
Can I see show countdowns on my Apple Watch or Mac?
You follow shows on iPhone and iPad. Once followed, show countdowns appear in your widgets, on your Apple Watch, in notifications and on the Timeline, like any other event. The Mac app has no Discover tab.
Always know when the next episode is
Kounts is free on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, with no ads. The TV Shows pack is $1.99 once on iPhone and iPad, or included in Premium.
