Birthdays, trips, deadlines, concerts. Add a date, time and notes, attach a place with Apple Maps suggestions and a map preview, then watch the days tick away on a full-screen live countdown. An event can keep its own time zone, so a concert in Berlin at 20:00 counts down to 20:00 Berlin time.

All 25 holidays count down in their own colors: a gradient, drifting decorations and an accent that carries through the ring, the numerals and the date pill. Pick Christmas once and it looks like Christmas on your cards, shared images, widgets, Apple Watch and the Live Activity. Free for everyone, and a switch quiets any event you want calmer.

35 ready-made countdowns across Holidays, Milestones and Seasons, searchable by name, with whatever holiday is coming up next waiting at the top. Your language picks the name and your region picks the date: Dia dos Namorados in Brazil, Mothering Sunday in the UK, October Thanksgiving in Canada, and summer in December south of the equator.

Inside an event’s final 24 hours a mini bar slides in above the tab bar with the title and a live "4h 32m left" readout, wherever you are in the app. Tap it to open the event, or keep scrolling and it tucks itself away.

A festival, a trip, a training course. Add an end date and the countdown runs to the start, then holds a live “Happening now · ends Thursday” state with a pulsing badge, a “Day 5 of 12” readout and widgets that flip at midnight, right through to the last day.

Some dates aren't over. Mark a past date as a Milestone and Kounts counts up from it: days smoke-free, years together, time since a big move, with a streak card and a gold ring filling toward your next anniversary.

Add someone's date of birth and Kounts counts down to their next birthday every year, shows the age they're turning, and keeps a photo timeline back to the year they were born. Or bring in every birthday saved in your contacts in one go, each with the person's photo, kept up to date when a contact changes.

Give every event its own photo gallery. Birthdays and recurring events group their photos by year, so each celebration builds a history over time, and when an old countdown reaches its anniversary, On This Day slides it back to the top of Upcoming.

Put your own photo behind a countdown and the day count can sit behind the people and pets in it, like the clock on the Lock Screen. No photo to hand? Take one with the camera, or make one with Apple Intelligence right from the event. On iOS 27, a photo of a poster or an invitation even becomes the countdown itself.

One countdown library for the people you live with. Invite up to five people with a link and everyone sees the same events, while a switcher at the top of Events keeps your own plans separate. Your notes, reminder times and Important flags stay yours alone.

Rather share one event than a whole library? Send a link through Messages or Mail and up to 5 people follow the same live countdown, adding their own photos to one shared album.

Ask Siri "when is Mum's birthday" and it finds the event by name, find countdowns in Spotlight, or describe an event in plain language and let Create with AI fill in the details for you.

Eight Home Screen widgets, all free: a cinematic Poster, a photo Grid, a Year Ring, a split-flap Departure Board, a stripped-back Minimal and more, plus Lock Screen widgets. On iOS 27 four of them fill a whole page. Pin an event to the top of your list and it leads the list widgets too. On event day, a self-ticking final countdown lives on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island until the moment arrives.

A dedicated watch app with an Up Next list, live countdown rings, and four complication styles, synced to your iPhone in real time. On the day itself, the final countdown gets its own compact card in the Smart Stack.

On iPad, a sidebar replaces the tab bar and a Home screen gives your next event a wide card with a live days, hours, minutes and seconds readout. Open an iPhone Duo and you get the same layout; turn any iPhone sideways and Kounts turns with it. Kounts on iPad.

A native Mac app that syncs over iCloud, with its own widgets, notifications, a menu bar countdown and the Shared Space. Press ⌘0 for Cinematic Focus and the whole window becomes your next countdown, artwork edge to edge, moving on by itself when the moment arrives. Kounts for Mac.

Daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly events roll forward automatically, even repeating time-of-day countdowns like “bedtime at 11”, live to the minute on widgets and the Dynamic Island. Stack up to five reminders on one event, from a week out to the moment itself, and Important events ring a full-screen alarm even on silent.

See your countdowns on a month-grid Calendar, as colored dots or as a collage where every busy day fills with its event's photo and trips stretch across their days. Or use the timeline, where nearby events cluster and distant ones drift apart, with a circular Year Ring for the long game. Pull events in from Apple Calendar, or mirror your countdowns back into it.

Export any countdown as a high-resolution image or an animated video, styled exactly like your card, sized for stories, square posts and group chats.
