In short: Kounts shares countdowns two ways. Share a single event with up to five people via a link in Messages or Mail, and you all follow the same live count and fill one shared photo album. Or create a Shared Space: a whole second library that a household keeps together, where anyone can add or edit an event and it lands on everybody's phone. Joining either one is free, with no ads.
One countdown, the whole group
Invite up to five people
Bring your partner, your family or a few friends into a single countdown. Up to five people can join the same event and watch it together.
Everyone sees the same count
No two phones drifting out of step. Everyone who joins follows the very same live days-until count, so you're all on exactly the same page.
One shared photo album
A shared event has a single album that everyone adds to. Drop in snaps as the day approaches and watch the memories build up together.
Share with a tap
Tap share and send a link through Messages, Mail or any app on your iPhone. The people you invite open it in Kounts and they're straight in.
Made for couples and groups
Perfect for couples counting to an anniversary, families waiting on a holiday, mates planning a trip, or any group event you're all looking forward to.
On everyone's widgets
Each person can add the shared countdown to their own Home and Lock Screen widgets, so it greets you all every day.
Or share a whole Shared Space
For the people you live with, a Shared Space holds every countdown at once. Anyone can add, edit or tick something off and it lands on everybody's phone straight away, and a switcher at the top of Events keeps your own plans in their own library.
Your notes stay yours
On anything shared, your notes, your reminder times and your Important flag belong to you alone. Nobody else sees them, nobody's choices override yours, and they now follow you privately between your own devices.

Frequently asked questions
Can I share a countdown with someone else?
Yes. Any Kounts event can be shared with other people. Create the countdown, tap share, and send the link through Messages, Mail or any app you like. Once they open it in Kounts, everyone follows the very same live count to the day.
How many people can join a shared countdown?
You can share a Kounts countdown with up to five people, so it works for a couple, a family or a small group of friends. Everyone who joins sees the same days-until count and the same shared photo album.
Can everyone add photos to a shared countdown?
Yes. A shared event has one shared photo album that everybody can add to. As the big day approaches you all pile in snaps and memories, and the full-screen card shows the photos you have gathered together.
How do I send the invite?
Open the event in Kounts, tap share, and a link is created that you can send through Messages, Mail or any sharing option on your iPhone. The people you invite tap the link, open it in Kounts and they are in.
What is a Shared Space, and how is it different from a shared countdown?
A shared countdown is one event you invite people to. A Shared Space is a whole second library that up to five people keep together, each on their own Apple Account: anyone can add, edit or tick something off and it appears on everybody's device. A switcher at the top of Events flips between Personal and your Shared Space, so a household calendar never buries your own plans, and any countdown can move between the two from its ⋯ menu.
Can other people see my notes and reminders on a shared countdown?
No. On anything shared, your notes, your reminder times and your Important flag belong to you alone. Nobody else in the space sees them and nobody's choices override yours. They sync privately across your own devices, so notes you write on your iPhone are there on your Mac too.
Is the shared countdown free?
Joining is always free, whether it's a single shared countdown or a Shared Space, and Kounts has no ads. Starting a share of your own, or creating a Shared Space, is part of Kounts Premium, so one subscription covers the whole household. If a subscription lapses, a Shared Space simply goes read-only until it's renewed — nothing is deleted, and if a space ever closes you're asked whether to keep the events, which costs nothing.
Count down together
Ad-free shared countdowns for couples, families and friends: one photo album you all add to, or a whole Shared Space. Joining is always free.
