Movie Release Countdown App With Your Country's Date

In short: Movies is one of six countdown packs in Kounts. Search for a film on your iPhone or iPad and follow it, and it becomes a countdown to its release day. The date is your country's release when the film has one, then the worldwide release, then the earliest date listed, and the notes say which. A delay moves the countdown with it, and the day after release it's removed. Searching is free. Following is $1.99 once, $3.99 for all six packs, or included in Kounts Premium.

Which release date it counts to

A film can come out on different days in different countries. The countdown takes the first of these the film has, and writes the answer in the notes.

Your country is the region your iPhone or iPad is set to. If the film has a release date there, that's the one.

The ten films people are waiting for

The Movies pack opens on the ten films most people are waiting for, each with a firm release date and an Add button. One tap and it's a countdown in your list. Films without a date are left off, so nothing on the list is a placeholder.

A film countdown that fits in with the rest

Search TheTVDB

The pack looks films up on TheTVDB as you type, with titles in your language when TheTVDB has one. Follow up to 25 films at a time.

Locked date, your styling

The date belongs to the pack, which keeps it right. The title, the poster or your own photo, the reminders, the category and the notes are yours, and survive every refresh. Delete the countdown to unfollow the film.

Feeds, outside the free 15

Film countdowns land in the built-in Feeds category, so one filter shows or hides them all, and they don't count toward the free plan's 15 upcoming events. What's free in Kounts.

Release day on a widget

Keep the film you're waiting for on a Home Screen or Lock Screen widget, and see it on the Timeline alongside your own plans.

Watch and reminders

Film countdowns show on your Apple Watch like any other event. Add a reminder and it arrives as a notification.

Going together? Make an event of your own for the night and share it with up to five people. Sharing is part of Premium.

Open Discover, then Movies
Discover is the fourth tab on iPhone and sits in the sidebar on iPad.

Search, or pick from the top ten
Type a title and follow it, or tap Add on one of the most anticipated films. If you don't have the pack yet, this is where Kounts asks for it.

Check the notes, then leave it be
The notes say which release it counts to. The countdown sits under Feeds and keeps its own date right until release day.
